DIY Nails with Tape

I decided to try out some DIY nails using masking tape. Here are the results:

The first thing I did was pick a base colour. I went for a nice bright colour; Barry M’s Turquoise. I then cut out strips of masking tape and placed them over my nails at different angles once the nail polish had dried. Very important to wait until it’s completely dried- the first time I tried this I ended up taking a bit of polish off with the tape! Oops. I then painted the ends with a contrasting bright pink polish from Accessorize. Once the polish had dried I just took off the tape- simple! 🙂

Military Coat

What I’m wearing:

Coat: Next/ Wedge Trainers and Snood: ASOS/ Bag: Estee Lauder

Spending my ASOS prize voucher was a lot of fun! With the amazing sales which are always on I managed to get quite a few things. I decided to use up some of my prize voucher to buy some new shoes. One of the pairs I bought were these amazing wedge trainers. I love them! They’re so comfortable and look great. I think I bought this coat last year and it’s perfect for this years military trend. Oversize and military green with a giant hood 🙂 As it’s so big I decided to add a wide black belt to it to help accentuate my waist. I had to return a couple of the other buys as they were too long/big/small so I will try to show upload some pics once I have the right stuff.

Berry Trend 2012

Berry Trend 2012

In terms of colour, falls biggest trend is definitely BERRY! With berry shades ranging from oxblood to plum and burgundy to berry purple, you are sure to find a shade that will suit you. These shades are perfect for autumn and a great way to inject a bit of colour into your wardrobe.

Here are some of my favourite pieces:

Berry flocked ponte top

This beautiful berry top ticks of lots of trends in one. Berry, peplum, flocked design and only at £28 it’s a great find!

Berry jacquard pencil skirt

I love this fantastic jacquard skirt! Jacquard is another big trend at the moment, so this is a great piece for this autumn. It’s a perfect skirt for work as it’s so chic and on trend.

Lace Dip Hem Skirt

I did a post on dipped hems recently and as you can see I really love this look. This dress is so on trend as it’s not only a berry shade, but it’s got a lace skirt. I’d love to wear this on a night out with some wedges!

Navy and berry strap collar coat

This coat is just perfect for the fall! I love the berry shade paired with navy and the military style.
